Effective communication is a vital art which can help people go a long way in their careers. Good speakers and people with commendable communication skills have the ability to leave a good and lasting impression. Hence our main goal is to help Bentley students become better speakers and prepare them for the business and broader world.
BSDS competes in competitive parliamentary style debate as well as organizes and hosts various debate and speech related events on campus. Our events cover a number of political and academic topics which might be of interest to students and professors.
We are not at all a stereotypical debate society; we love having fun while working on our events and other debate related responsibilities. The entire E- Board as well as the general body members meet up ever Sunday night between 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm where we discuss all our upcoming priorities. However, our meetings are open to all those who are interested in joining our group. As a member of Bentley Speech and Debate Society, you will notice that there is no barrier between the E- Board and the general body. Everybody has the equal opportunity to put forth their views during the meetings!
