President's Update!

Bentley Speech and Debate Society (BSDS) has long sought to become an organization that provides stirring debate, discussion, and public speaking resources to students of all walks of life. We've taken many steps to these ends. Since the Fall semester of 2012, BSDS has revamped the entire organization. We've accomplished the following:
  1. Wrote our Constitution
  2. Re-organized the E-board positions
  3. Held elections
  4. Organized a hugely successful Democrats v. Republicans Debate
  5. Organized "How to Ace Your GB 320 Presentation"
  6. Prepared the groundwork to expand our competitive debate for Spring 2013
  7. Expanded our Social Media presence
  8. Grown our membership
These are no set of small feats but we plan on pushing forward this Spring semester! This is what we have set up for the semester:
  1. Begin Debate Competition Training
  2. Replicate "How to Ace your GB 320 Presentation"
  3. Hold a Political Round Table Discussion
  4. Bring a speaker to campus (it's a secret!)
  5. Hold a improv speaking competition
  6. Work with the Women's Center to hold a Brown Bag event
  7. and much more!
We hope that these events will prove to be fruitful for our members and the Bentley community to give them new insights into debate, public speaking, and social/political issues!

I welcome you to be a part of this journey by contacting anyone in the organization to learn from!
